RXVIP Concierge, a leading enterprise that focuses on improving the role of Pharmacists in the field of healthcare, has reportedly unveiled its first telehealth and remote patient monitoring residency program as well as APPE rotations for students of PharmD in collaboration with Diasyst.

As a part of the PharmD Concierge APPE rotations and residency efforts, the enterprise now partners with top pharmacy schools to register all entrants of the 2021 Class in order to enable them to enter the profession to help in COVID-19 care and testing for patients suffering from chronic health care issues. The firm has earlier collaborated with a top national lab, technology vendors, and healthcare organizations in order to educate the PharmD healthcare providers’ next generation.

Chief Operation Officer and Executive Vice President at RXVIP Concierge, Crystal Cruz, PharmD stated that the company’s collaboration with Diasyst would help it in its mission to create a new standard for patient engagement that would improve the role played by pharmacists across the health care continuum. 

Cruz further added that as the clinical support team and medication experts for physicians the company collaborates with, as a unit, the firm is capable of improving patient outcomes while providing higher levels of reimbursements for the said practice.

The initial six-week rotation, under the program, was initiated on Monday with seven students enrolled from NSU Florida’s and Chicago State University’s College of Pharmacy. These students will receive technical, clinical, as well as administrative training over all things that make up telehealth and remote patient monitoring, which also includes actual hands-on experience where they would be offering these services to all the patients under Michael Goodman MD. in Bellmore, New York.

Rooted into Diasyst curriculum would be to demonstrate students how to register patients in a virtual diabetes care program, and best practices for correctly engaging and monitoring patients during the office visits as a part of the collaborative environment with physicians.
